The Interior Ministry on Sunday signed an agreement with the Anti-Corruption Commission aimed at defining methods of cooperation and coordination regarding the protection of witnesses, whistleblowers, and confidential sources.
The ministry said that this comes within the framework of the UN Convention against Corruption and the legislation in force.
The agreement provides for combating all forms of corruption, as well as exchanging information, experiences, and expertise. It also stipulates sharing documents in the field of corruption prevention, investigation, and disclosing corruption offenses.
According to the concerned parties, the agreement stems from their interest to strengthen the principle of participation and embody the principles of law, good management of public affairs and property, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
