Interior Minister, Fathi Bashagha has emphasized the need to draw up a tight security plan through establishing a joint security chamber within the framework of international coordination.

"Security is essential and an important factor in building countries and communities," Bashagha said in an expanded security meeting on Monday, according to the Information Office of the Interior Ministry.

He also vowed to hold accountable those who attack state institutions and undermine security and stability in the country.

The meeting highlighted the impact of rumours and false news on security and the need for a media plan to respond to the misleading information and hate speech published by certain media outlets.

Bashagha insisted that all those who undermine the security of the homeland and citizens should not be left at liberty, according to him.
