The Interior Ministry of the Presidential Council said that it will raise its state of readiness in all its security apparatus to address any possible security breaches, which may occur during the holiday of Eid al-Adha.

On its Facebook page, the ministry explained that it has tasked the security directorates in all regions to develop security plans for all major roads into and out of the cities, the coastal road, the internal connecting roads, as well as all the land, sea, and air entry and exit points.

The ministry stressed that it will tighten the security measures around all important facilities, strategic sites, embassies and diplomatic missions.

It also added that it will intensify static and mobile security units as well as traffic patrolling to prevent any disruption of security and public order.

The ministry pointed out that these measures will be carried out in coordination with all security units, to prevent any potential terrorist or criminal threats, which could target civilian lives and public institutions.

The ministry urged the citizens to cooperate with the security services, and not to obstruct their work, calling on them to follow the instructions issued by the relevant bodies, in order to help them perform their duties in the required manner.
