The International Criminal Court (ICC) held an appeal hearing on Monday at the request of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi's defence.

The court order, which was published on the ICC's official website, includes a hearing before the Appeals Chamber, from 11 to 12 November, to hear appeals on the non-eligibility of the ICC to consider the cases brought before the court against Saif Al-Islam.

"The Appeals Chamber will issue guidance on the proceedings regarding the extradition case, including inviting the Security Council and the State of Libya to submit their observations," the ICC stated.

The ICC Prosecutor, Fato Bin Soda has reiterated during her speech before the Security Council last week, the court's demands for the Libyan state to extradite Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, disclosing that the court had received information regarding the presence of Saif al-Islam in the city Zintan.
