The security situation Tripoli and the sharp division among the political parties and military factions could escalate and then explode, Human Rights Solidarity has warned.

In a statement signed by a number of civil society organizations and national associations Tuesday, The HRS called for an end to the political split by forming a national unity government, stressing that the dialogue is the only way to reach a national accord.

It called on the United Nations to linger a bit longer over the Libyan situation without rushing to conclusions and ill-studied actions.

“Every Libyan stakeholder should cooperate with the UN and the friendly countries to achieve the accord that would allow all Libyans to build a real national unity government.” The statement reads.

The HRS reaffirmed that all parties should pay respect to the Libyan judiciary and the constitutional legitimacy represented in the constitutional declaration.
