Human Rights Solidarity called for the release of all illegally-held detainees in Libya or those held over security issues, welcoming all efforts to end the arbitrary detention issue in the country.

The Chairman of the human rights body Jumua Al-Ammami told Libya Alahrar TV that civilians shouldn't stand court-martial trials, saying hundreds of detainees had been suffering from torture as many of them are arbitrarily held in custody in jail like Granda, Kuwifiya, military police in Bouhdima, and other secret prisons.

Meanwhile, Sweden-based Skyline International Organization called for the release of activist Majdi Al-Khashmi who was arrested by Haftar's forces recently, urging for international pressure on Haftar's forces to end human rights violations.

In the meantime, the pro-Haftar military prosecutor Faraj Al-Sousae released 82 inmates after spending years in east-based jails after being referred to military prosecution, according to Benghazi-based Libyan News Agency.

25 of the released inmates were from Derna city. They spent about two years in Granda prison then in Bouhadima before being released.
