Parliament Spokesman Abdullah Belhaq says that the House of Representatives (HoR) will continue consultations with the High Council of State following the political agreement.

"Consultation will continue to achieve political consensus on the roadmap, especially in the constitutional, political, security, and executive tracks," Belhaq wrote on his Facebook account.

According to Belhaq, the two parties will also discuss sovereign posts and other issues that would help realize the presidential and parliamentary elections per the Roadmap Committee recommendations in consultation with the HCS.

Belhaq's remarks came after a Parliament session on Tuesday, in which the MPs approved the conditions for the recommendation of  new prime minister while excluding the HCS from deliberating on the supject.

After more than three hours of deliberations, the Speaker of the HoR, Aqila Saleh, announced the parliament’s vote against the involvement of the HCS in recommending the new prime minister, by 30 votes to 21, without mentioning the number of representatives present or the number of abstentions.
