The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh, has described those who partook in the Skhirat-held political dialogue as non-representative of Libya.

"The Libyan Political Agreement that resulted from the Skhirat dialogue is a big lie." He indicated in an interview with the Middle East Eye.

He added that the parties who participated in the dialogue were picked by the former UNSMIL Head, Bernardino Leon and the current Head Martin Kobler, in order to impose certain names on the Libyan people.

Saleh explained that the delegations of the House of Representatives and the General National Congress withdrew from Skhirat dialogue sessions before they had come to an end due to the pick-and-choose strategy of the UNSMIL.

"Those who signed the agreement were not entitled to do so and did not represent the Libyan people." Saleh added.

He also indicated that the Libyan Political Agreement needs to be included in the constitutional declaration.

"Unless the agreement is included in the constitutional declaration, it would remain void." Saleh stressed.
