Speaker of the Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR), Hammouda Sayala received on Tuesday the German ambassador, Oliver Owcza, to discuss the current Libyan political situation.

During the meeting, which was held at the HoR’s HQ, the two sides reviewed the developments of the HoR’s session in Ghadames and its position on the constitutional path, in addition to the Geneva dialogue and the Tangiers talks.

Sayala reaffirmed that they welcome any comprehensive Libyan consensus under any name or form, including holding parliamentary and presidential elections, according to the media office of the HoR.

He also expressed the HoR's readiness to adopt any outputs resulting from the dialogue as long as it represents a comprehensive solution to the Libyan crisis, cares for the country's interests, and expresses the aspirations of the people.

For his part, Owcza reaffirmed his country's commitment to adhere to dialogue and to move away from war once and for all.

It is noteworthy that the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum voted on Tuesday on the mechanism for selecting representatives of the executive authority in the country, with a majority of 51 votes out of 72 members who participated in the voting process a percentage of 73%.
