The member of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR) Jalal Al-Shuwaihdi, said in a statement on his Facebook page Tuesday that after he was the first to support the formation of a military institution that is tasked with securing the Libyans across the country and that made him face terrorist organizations and militias, who used to call themselves revolutionaries.

"We had faced them in the media and the demonstrations led by civilian leadership in Benghazi when many people, who are in the front today, were afraid to utter a single word against those organizations." He said.

"History will write down our stance regarding the violations happening in Benghazi." He added on his Facebook page, saying he condemns the crimes of digging up tombs, killing women and captives and burning bodies that were committed by the militias of the eastern military in Benghazi."

"Such immoral acts are against the Islamic teachings and all other heavenly books as well as the international laws and conventions." He continued, blaming the command of the so-called military in eastern Libya for those crimes and naming Khalifa Haftar and his chief of staff, Abdelraziq Al-Nathori as accountable.

"Those two must stand in front of the MPs at the HoR headquarters to be interrogated for the crimes before holding any soldier accountable for the inhuman acts that were done in Benghazi." He indicated.

He concluded saying that he calls on Haftar and Al-Nathori to save what is left from the dignity of the army and their military honor to themselves and save their faces by giving their resignations and then turning themselves in to investigations, adding "that would be great, only if we truly have a real military institution."
