The House of Representatives in Tobruk denounced the call of the Presidential Council on the international community to intervene and resolve the "military escalation in southern Libya.

In a statement, the HoR considered that such a call is in favor of what it described the armed militias and the smuggling gangs and the groups that destroyed the country.

It also rejected those actions by the PC, which it described as unconstitutional, warning the international community that the PC's decisions are illegitimate as per the constitutional declaration.

The Head of the UN-proposed government's Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, called in an open letter to the international community for an immediate intervention to stop the current military escalation in southern Libya, which he said is threatening the stability of the country.
