A delegation of the House of Representatives (HoR), which visited Turkey recently, has announced the formation of a Libyan-Turkish parliamentary committee and an agreement to open the aviation and maritime lines between Benghazi and Turkey.

In a statement, the HoR delegation said that both sides agreed to start implementing the arrangements and take sincere steps to achieve the results of the visit, noting that work is underway to open the Turkish consulate in Benghazi.

There is also a joint action to remove the obstacles hindering the return of Turkish Airlines to Libya and the companies in general to complete the implementation of its previous contract, the statement added.

Regarding the traveling procedures, the HoR indicated that it had reached understandings with the Turkish side to ease the procedural restrictions on the Libyan community and students in the Turkish state and to facilitate the obtaining of visas.
