The Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC) has posted in its Facebook page a statement rejecting the candidacy of Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi for presidential elections, but minutes later deleted the post without any further explanation.

The deleted post said the candidacy of Saif Gaddafi created chaos and instability within the electoral process, in addition to the attempts by some cities to close poll centers, thus; Gaddafi's presidential bid was rejected.

This isn't the first time the HNEC has deleted a post about elections as days ago, it posted conditions for presidential candidates and then deleted it saying it didn't include the House of Representatives (Speaker Aqila Saleh's) amendments that in essence aim to exclude current Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah from the presidential race, despite him taking an oral vow at the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum not to run in December elections. The HNEC later reposted the conditions with the amendments.

The HNEC also posted Sunday footage for the candidacy submission of Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi and then deleted them after criticism that said the HNEC was campaigning for certain candidates.
