The second deputy head of the High Council of State (HCS) Fawzi Al-Oqab said Palermo Conference for Libya did not bring about results but concluded with frustrating and disappointing facts.

Al-Oqab tweeted also that the national will to avoid Libyans chaos and suffering was absent at Palermo Conference in Italy, adding that this showed that fact that Libyans don't own their political process.

"The cost we are paying now in Libya doesn't reflect the conflicts that we have and all historical feuds; prompters are not present in Libya now, rather the country is a battlefield for Arab-Arab and European-European conflicts." He remarked.

He also said that talking about a crisis in Libya is very misleading.

"Libya is now under international trusteeship and UNSMIL's Head is supported by all parties and that made him the most important party at Palermo Conference." Al-Oqab added.

Palermo Conference ended by stressing for the need for a constitution and elections by spring 2019, with a total exclusion of military solutions to the crisis.

The conference has some issues as western powers sent ministerial delegations and no presidents were present, except for Egypt's and Tunisia's ones, while the Turkish delegation pulled out, citing way too much intervention in Libya's internal affairs.
