The Ministry of Health says it registered no fatalities in the riots that broke out on Friday in several parts of the country.

"Hospitals and medical centers did not receive any serious cases, as published in some media and on social networking sites," a statement by the ministry confirmed on Saturday.

It underscored that its central operating room works around the clock to receive reports from hospitals, medical centers, and agencies affiliated with the ministry.

Demonstrations took place in several cities, including Tripoli, Tobruk, Sabha, and Misrata Friday, in protest against the political and living conditions.

Some protests broke into riots when angry crowds set fire to the Parliament's HQ in Tobruk and the Financial Services Control Building in Sabha.
