The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, discussed with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) the latest developments in the Libyan political process and talked about the upcoming Berlin II Conference slated for June 23, in addition to bilateral relations.

MBZ reiterated United Arab Emirates' (UAE) support for Libya to overcome any challenges the country is facing, while he and Menfi both stressed the importance of successful political process and the security of Libya, in addition to the unification of the international community's stance that can ensure Libya's sovereignty and unity.

Menfi hailed the UAE for its "positive role in supporting Libya and its people as well as its stances in international arenas," hoping the two countries would have more bilateral cooperation in the future, while MBZ wished Menfi and the Government of National Unity success in leading Libya to stability.

Menfi arrived in the UAE with a delegation of officials, including Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush, on a formal visit on Saturday.
