The Head of the Presidential Council (PC) Fayez Al-Sarraj met with members and ministers from his cabinet to discuss the southern region development projects' implementation mechanism in addition to placing them in priority.

The remarks came in a meeting on Tuesday in Tripoli in the presence of the PC deputy head for south Libya Abdelsalam Kajman, PC member Ahmed Hamza, Planning Minister Al-Taher Al-Jahimi, Local Government Minister Milad Al-Taher and economic advisor to Al-Sarraj Mohammed Al-Hawij.

Al-Sarraj reiterated the need to speed up the implementation of the exceptional budget allocated for development projects in the south with a committee formed for following up the implementation of the projects.

The meeting comes after a decision issued by the PC last year to assign an extraordinary budget of a billion dinars to developing the southern region.
