The President of the High Council of State, Abdulrahman Al-Suwaihli, met on Tuesday with the British Ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli.

Those present at the meeting discussed Britain’s role in supporting the UN action plan for Libya and developments in the political situation in the country, according to Al-Suwaihli’s Information Office.

During the meeting, Baker conveyed to Al-Suwaihli British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson’s greetings, inviting him to visit the UK for talks with him.

Baker reiterated Britain's support for the political agreement and the process of amending it in accordance with the United Nations Action Plan on Libya and the upcoming democratic entitlements.

Al-Suwaihli commended the efforts of Boris Johnson to push for the implementation of the political agreement to help resolve the Libyan crisis.
