President of the High Council of State, Khalid Al-Mishri said during a meeting with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ghassan Salame that it is of interest to know what guarantees were in place to ensure the implementation of the National Conference outcomes.

Al-Mishri stressed that the conference should not deviate from the fundamental principles underpinning the political agreement and not to give legitimacy to the de facto authorities.

He also underlined that there are guidelines which the council is adhered to, the most important of which is that the political agreement should be the benchmark for any political process, calling for the need to oblige all parties to respect this agreement.

There are many actors in the Libyan arena that did not pledge themselves to implement the political agreement, instead, they are working against it and have established parallel governments which wasted more than $ 27 billion, Al-Mishri added.
