Spokesman of the Libyan Army, Colonel Mohammad Qanunu

The spokesman for the Libyan Army under the command of the Presidential Council's government Mohammed Gununu said Sunday that Khalifa Haftar's forces had violated the ceasefire in Tripoli again by opening fire on Khallatat frontline and attempting to advance on Al-Hadba in southern Tripoli.

On the Airport Road, a source from the Libyan Army said they had repelled attempts by Haftar's forces to advance after violating the ceasefire by firing mortars, one of which fell on a house behind the location of fuel depots.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Gununu said Haftar's forces breached the ceasefire and carried out airstrikes on Abu Grein without causing any casualties.

Haftar's forces had also been preventing all the people trapped in houses in clashes' zones from leaving and shooting anyone tries to leave.

Ceasefire in Libya, proposed by Turkey and Russia, came to effect on January 12 and is still in place despite violations by Haftar's forces on different frontlines.
