The Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, has reiterated the need to resume talks about maritime borders demarcation with Libya.

In a press conference with the Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Gotrani, Dendias urged for the departure of all foreign forces from Libya as soon as possible and reiterated the importance of Libya's sovereignty and stability.

Meanwhile, Al-Gotrani stressed the need for strategic cooperation with Greece and boosting bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in fighting illegal immigration and gas exploration in the Mediterranean.

Dendias arrived in Benghazi on Monday to pave the way for opening a Greek consulate in the eastern region city. He is scheduled to meet the Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqila Saleh and the mayor of Benghazi.
