Libyan Grand Mufti, Sheikh Al-Sadiq Al-Gheryani, said that those embracing the National Conference are pushing the country to the unknown because the conference is vague.

The Mufti explained in Islam and Life program on Tanasuh channel that the conference is restricted to those who come together in countering the revolution and its goals.

"Only the revolutionaries, who were the fuel of the uprising, were absent," Al-Mufti said.

He added that the solution to Libya's problems is not by convening a national conference, but by activating the oversight and control bodies to account existing institutions through official bodies and punish those who violate the law.

The Mufti also called on the revolutionaries who met at the National Forum of the "Revolutionaries of the 17th of February" in the city of Zawiya recently, to come together so as not to be crossed in determining the fate of their country.
