The General National Congress said on Wednesday it fully backs the Libyan-Libyan dialogue that was kicked off in Tunisia on December 05 and was crowned Tuesday with a direct meeting in Malta between presidents of GNC and HoR.

In a press conference following a sitting on the political dialogue, GNC spokesperson Omar Hamidan urged the UN to give this dialogue the needed backup.

He confirmed that the GNC has not mandated any of its members to attend or sign Skhirat agreement, slated for Morocco Thursday.

He pointed out that the GNC is not accountable for whatever results may come out of that agreement, as it would only further complicate the Libyan political crisis.

"We are currently working nonstop to form a national concord government and to build bridges between the GNC and the HoR so that the disagreement and dispute between us is resolved before December 24," said Hamidan.
