Leon's proposed names for the unity government represent one political party only, head of GNC dialogue team said in a press conference on Wednesday.

Following a session to discuss Leon's proposed government, Awad Abdul-Sadiq, also First Deputy President of GNC, described the government as unbalanced saying the GNC is still debating it.

"Leon used to say that the government and its premier would be consensual but we were surprised that Leon gave the legislative authority and the government to the dissolved parliament, and this violates what he told us during the past 9 months." He explained.

Awad noted that the GNC was also surprised by Leon's amendment to the final draft despite his announcement that the draft cannot be amended any more.

"All dialogue parties were surprised by the amendment made to the final draft in a very short time by Leon himself without prior coordination with both dialogue parties."

Awad reiterated GNC's call for inclusion of its amendments in the draft. He also expressed commitment to the dialogue to reach a solution that achieves balance and preserves the 17 February principals.
