The GNC decided on Thursday to go on with the dialogue round in Skhirat to resolve the Libyan crisis peacefully. The dialogue team of the congress is expected to leave for Morocco Friday to join the ongoing dialogue rounds in Skhirat. Sources from the GNC said the dialogue team will not nominate candidates for the unity government but it will further discuss the latest UNSMIL draft.

Thursday’s session of the GNC was suspended for around an hour when angry protesters took their way into the meeting hall. The protesters called the GNC not to sign the draft and boycott the dialogue. GNC President Abu Sahmain talked to the unarmed protesters and assured them that the GNC will not sign anything undermines Libya’s unity or violates the 17 February principals. Later, the protesters left the meeting hall and the GNC continued its meeting.

Rumors of gunshots around the GNC were denied by the GNC. Also, Sami Al-Saadi, whose name was mentioned by pro-Dignity and Tobruk parliament media outlets as one of the intruders, denied his presence at Thursday protest.
