A Misrata court acquitted on Monday Sayed Gaddaf Al-Dam, the cousin of slain dictator. The Permanent Military Court found Gaddaf Al-Dam not guilty of exploiting state armed forces for political aims.
The court dropped all other charges against him.
Sayed was arrested in his hometown of Sirte in October 2011.
The court also found six former military personnel guilty of cooperating with former Gaddafi regime. Verdicts ranged from 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 years in prison.
The trial of four other defendants was adjourned to October 12.
