17 Dignity Operation militants were killed and more than 33 others wounded in fresh clashes against Shura Council fighters in Benghazi on Monday.

Using tanks and armoured vehicles, the Dignity Operation militants advanced toward Gawarsha district early in the day, but they were forced to retreat under the heavy fire of Shura fighters, who are still in control of the entire district.

One wounded militant was arrested and bodies of the attackers are still scattered in the battlefield, the media office of Benghazi Shura Council reported, adding that 3 tanks and 1 armoured vehicle were destroyed.
