The French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, has handed over an invitation to Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah to attend Paris Conference on Libya on November 12, the French embassy on Libya said Monday on Twitter.

The embassy added that the Paris Conference is going to be "for and with Libya" as France supports the Government of National Unity's efforts to lead the country for stability and sovereignty as well as general elections on December 24.

The Presidential Council also said earlier that Le Drian had invited its Head, Mohammed Menfi, when they met at the Libya Stabilization Conference last Thursday.

Paris Conference is going to tackle the ongoing situation in Libya in the presence of stakeholders and the US Vice President, Kamala Harris, according to her spokesperson.

The conference, which was the idea of the French President Emmanuel Macron and Libyan government, will see attendance of the countries that attended Berlin conferences and all Libyan neighboring states, according to Le Drian.
