Former Health Minister, Fatma Al-Hamroush, said she was displeased by the continuity of existence of a fake page using her own name on Facebook and spreading rumors and hate speech with several people believing the absurd content posted on it.

In a press statement with a photo of the fake page attached to it, Al-Hamroush, revealed the names of the ones who created the page saying she is sorry to know that they are part of the House of Representatives' eastern government of Abdullah Al-Thanni.

"Omar Al-Guwairi created this page when he was the Head of the Media Authority of Al-Thanni government then the page was closed when I asked the Health Minister Rida Al-Okli to, but the page came back online when Al-Okli's relations to Al-Thanni government got shaky." Al-Hamroush added.

She also said that she asked Khalid Najim, who replaced Al-Guwairi in the eastern government, to close the page, but he did not shut it down despite many promises, explaining that the page continues to spread hatred and allows many immoral people to use abusive comments on purpose.

"I call on all social media users, especially Facebook, to be aware of such fake pages and to be careful not to follow such pages with abusive contents under the names of public figures.
