Two foreign nationals are involved in abduction acts in Libya, the Special Deterrence Force announced on Thursday.

The force said it had arrested a gang made up of two Libyans, one Tunisian and a Palestinian in connection with the kidnapping of a Libyan national.

Tunisian national Wajdi Al-Gharbi, 29, and Waseem Mahmoud, 28, from Palestine, joined Libyan nationals Hussein Bosoria and Hamza Al-Haran to kidnap Adam Al-Zghali in Ben Ashor area.

"We kidnapped Adam from his office and took him to Wirshiffana," Al-Gharbi admits.

The gang requested Al-Zghali's family to pay LYD 200.000 for his release but after negotiation, they reduced the ransom to LYD 100.000.

The ransom was actually paid but the kidnappers were arrested later in an ambush.

This is the third human abduction bust by the Deterrence Force in just a month.
