The Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Mohamed Al-Giblawi, denied reports which are circulating regarding the expulsion of six Libyan diplomats in Central Africa.

In a statement to The Libya Observer, Al-Giblawi said that the matter of suspension of six Libyan diplomats was nothing more than a standard problem, adding that the misunderstanding began back when an announcement regarding the former Charge d’Affairs at the Libyan embassy in the Central African Republic, defected from the Government of National Accord (GNA), shortly before his expulsion from the embassy headquarters in August of last year.

He further confirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted its counterpart in the Central African Republic regarding the matter, indicating that the latter fully understood the situation and promised to solve the problem as soon as the Minister returns from his overseas tour.
