The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, called Monday on the European Union (EU) to support Libya to end transitional phases and achieve stability.

Al-Mangoush met European Union states' foreign ministers in Luxembourg before the meeting of the EU Council of Foreign Affairs ahead of Thursday's Tripoli-hosted conference of "Libya Stability Support" that aims to focus on military and security, and economic tracks and to create economic competition as well as to rally a unified international stance toward Libya.

Al-Mangoush said Libya Stability Initiative would lead, if activated well, the country to security, and eventually holding general elections on time next December, calling on her EU counterparts to do their parts by supporting Libyans to reach the stability they aspire for and to end transitional phases.

"As a crossing country, Libya is the most impacted state by the illegal immigration issue, which can be resolved by a solid united stance of the international community and its relevant organizations to develop the source countries of immigration." Al-Mangoush added.
