Mitiga Airport in Tripoli has resumed flights after suspension for hours following an attack on the airport with indiscriminate shelling falling near the passengers' lounge, injuring one person.

Meanwhile, the field medical center said they had provided medical assistance to one injured person due to the shelling on Mitiga Airport.

The shelling coincided with the arrival of two flights - one coming from Istanbul and another from Saudi Arabia bringing onboard 265 hajis, the Mitiga Airport management said.

Volcano of Rage Operation's media office posted photos for the damaging aftermath of the shelling on Mitiga Airport and on shops in Zanata neighborhood in southern Tripoli.

Mitiga Airport has been under attack by Haftar's forces for about 16 times since the start of Haftar's offensive on Tripoli in last April, amid local and international condemnations, while the UNSMIL sent a delegation to assess the airport's status.
