The Libyan Army under the command of the Presidential Council's government repelled two attacks for Khalifa Haftar's forces on Airport Road and Salah Eddine frontlines in an attempt to enter Tripoli as indiscriminate shells fell on residential areas in the capital, killing one woman and injuring others.

The spokesman for the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu said their forces had destroyed a tank and a military vehicle for Haftar's forces as the latter tried to advance on Salah Eddine frontline, saying all fighters in the tank and vehicle had been killed.

He added that heavy artillery shelling targeted Thursday Haftar's forces and "foreign mercenaries" on Khallatat frontline as ground forces advanced to control Al-Furosiyah School on the same frontline.

Social media pages circulated videos showing a burnt military vehicle for Haftar's forces on Khallatat frontline, where the Libyan Army advanced remarkably on Thursday, sources told The Libya Observer.

In Al-Fernaj neighborhood in Tripoli, a woman was killed as an indiscriminate shell fired by Haftar's forces fell on her house, while other random shelling caused material damages in Ben Ashour and Jaraba streets.

Meanwhile, other southern Tripoli frontlines have seen uneasy calm as Libyan Army forces launched an attack in Al-Urban (20 km to the south of Gharyan) on positions of Haftar's forces, seizing control of some locations, some vehicles and capturing three fighters.
