Heavy clashes broke out Saturday in the eastern city of Ajdabiya, some 150 kilometres south of Benghazi, between Dignity Operation forces and fighters of the city's Shura Council, in what seems to be a repetition of Benghazi scenario.

Shura Council sources said Dignity forces launched an offensive on one of their camps in the city last night following an assault on a military checkpoint, known as Checkpoint 200. The sources added that Dignity Operation accused Shura Council fighters of being behind the attack despite the IS claim of responsibility for the checkpoint attack which left 4 Dignity militants dead.

Clashes are now reported in the industrial district of the city. Medical reports said at least 6 people were killed and 12 others were injured in the clashes.  Dignity has also launched airstrikes on Shura targets and sent militants to the city to reinforce their groups in the clashes.

There were also reports of indiscriminate shelling on some locations in the city.
