Libya's Fatwa House has called on oil fields blockaders to lift their siege immediately. The top religious body demanded in a statement all those involved in closing oil ports and fields, in all over Libya, to take the initiative and reopen the country's main source of income.

"Blocking oil exports is the main reason of destruction and security disruption, which the country witnesses now; it's also the cause of all crises which left billions in losses." The statement reads.

Sources from the National Oil Corporation said Al-Sharara and Al-Feel oilfields, in the west of the country, are still closed due to security guards protests and a pipeline closure.

Militia groups from Zintan are still closing an oil pipeline in Al-Ryaniya region, which links El-Sharara oil field to Al-Zawiya port, in protest against the takeover of El-Sharara field by the Third Force of the General Staff.

Al-Feel oilfield is guarded by Zintani gunmen who are demanding better salaries in order to reopen the field.
