Taking control of a Muslim country's sovereignty by another non-Muslim one is not allowed in Islam, the Fatwa House said on Tuesday.

Replying to questions from some civil societies about the latest dialogue draft, the FH stated that abolishing court rulings is also not allowed.

"It's banned to sign any agreement that invalidates court rulings." It says.

The FH also stated in its reply that criminals and killers are not permitted to head public posts, calling for prosecuting them.

With regard to the UNSMIL mediation between Libyan parties in Skhirat, the FH said that non-Muslims can mediate between Muslims in case the mediation does not violate the Shari'a law, confirming that abiding by international laws and conventions is permitted as long as those laws and conventions do not also violate the Shari'a.
