Tobruk parliament boycotting MP, Fathi Bash Agha has denounced the forced detention and freedom restriction practiced against his colleague, Mohammed Al-Raeid, saying that such acts are considered a moral crime more than a violation of laws and human rights.

“Three days passed without a word coming out of our mouths because we wanted to leave the door open for the good and friendly efforts that aimed at releasing my colleague, Al-Raeid, but unfortunately, all efforts were in vain.” Wrote Bash Agha on his Facebook page.

He added that this immoral act proves that the legislative authority that had been formed by the Skhirat-signed agreement back on December 17 won’t be able to do its national and constitutional duties amid such lack of security.

“The current security violations jeopardize even the lives of the MPs, which must be the least any government can offer for it to assume power on the ground.” Explained Bash Agha.

MP Mohammed Al-Raeid was abducted in Tobruk las Wednesday one day after he rejoined the House of Representatives after one and a half years of boycotting.
