Three people were killed in an explosion nearby Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi, Fadia Al-Barghathi, a media official at Al-Jalaa Hospital confirmed, saying the hospital received also 17 injured persons including women and children.

Eyewitnesses reported Monday that one of the bakeries was set on fire, which cause the explosion, while others said a rocket was shelled at the vicinity of the hospital.

No official confirmation as to what was the real cause of the explosion yet.

“The situation inside the hospital is very perplexed and the identity of the dead persons has not been yet known.” The media official added.

Over the last days, a car bomb detonated in Benghazi at the time when a funeral procession was on the move to bury one of Khalifa Haftar’s fighters nearby Budazira Park in the eastern part of the city leading to the injury of 14 persons.
