Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country's solidarity with Libya's legitimate government that is recognized by the UN paved the way for ceasefire, unity and fresh start in the country.

Speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Erdogan said it was very vital to boost support for recovery, reconstruction and development in Libya, especially at this stage.

Meanwhile, the Head of Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey-Libya Business Council, Murtaza Karanfil, said Libya's stability is very important for Turkey as it is the key to Africa, adding that Libyans and the world have expectations of the new government in Libya.

Karanfil said Libya would see a ruling period where results could be prosperous for the people and relations with Turkey solid, adding that Ankara would continue to support Libya and defend it, reminding that the Government of National Accord requested support in 2019 and Turkey provided it.
