The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, renewed in a meeting with the Deputy Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, who arrived Saturday in Cairo, his country's belief that the withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya is very important, saying support should be given to the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC ) to play its role in this process.

Shoukry said Egypt supports Libyan authorities' efforts to implement the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum's roadmap, and holding general elections on time, which is pivotal for stability.

The spokeswoman for the Presidential Council Najwa Wheba said the visit to Cairo would go for two days and Al-Lafi would discuss bilateral relations and the latest Libyan developments.

Al-Lafi is scheduled to meet the Libyan community in Egypt to review national reconciliation and their role in it, including - according to some well-informed sources - Gaddafi-regime representatives as part of the national reconciliation project launched by the Head of the Presidential Council last September.
