Following the footsteps of ISIS execution in Benghazi

A radical Salafist group fighting alongside Khalifa Haftar’s self-proclaimed “Libyan National Army” released on Friday an ISIS-style video showing chilling execution of a rival fighter in Benghazi.

Tariq Ben Ziyad Fighting Brigade released the execution video of Mohammed Al-Maghorbi, known as Randa Al-Abad, a day after his arrest in Ajdabiya town.

The rogue militia accused him of being a member of the radical group ISIS.

A number of activists condemned the execution and the way it was done, saying he should have been put on trial.

“Is this the state of institutions the army wants to establish,” one activist asked on Facebook.

Khalifa Haftar's self-declared army is made up of different rogue groups and factions which are very hard to control. On top are the notorious Sahawat (awakening) fighters, who are the backbone of that army. Others include tribal groups, former regime militants, and radical Salafists.
