The so-called Omar AL-Mukhtar Operations Room of Dignity Operation’s militias blocked the road that connects Martuba and Al-Heela districts in eastern Derna as well as Al-Fatyeh district at the eastern entrance of Derna city.

The Operations Room warned Tuesday on Facebook of using those roads as they have become military clashes’ zones.

This act comes as part of the siege on Derna by Dignity Operation militias after they had prevented cash from reaching the city’s bank aiming at siphoning off the residents’ morale and obliging the Derna Shura Council’s fighters to surrender their weapons.

Earlier, the Army’s Chief of Staff of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives, Abdelraziq Al-Nathori, who was appointed by Aqilah Saleh as military commander of the eastern region, ordered the shutdown of the coastal road in Derna – Karsa Western Derna – from 8pm to 10am.
