Chief of so-called Anti-Terrorism Bureau in Shahhat town in eastern Libya, Hanibal Al-Hasi, has survived an assassination attempt in Kirissah town, 20 km west of Derna.

Dignity Operation sources said Al-Hasi was among the forces besieging Derna when gunmen showered his car with bullets and fled away.

Al-Hasi escaped unhurt. The gunmen later randomly fired at a checkpoint for the Anti-Terrorism Bureau in Kirissah in what seems to be a power conflict between Dignity Operation armed groups in the town.

The sources added that the gunmen were identified, describing them as an outlaw group.
