Dignity Operation militants abducted three members of the Ghawil family near the coast of Karsa, west of Derna city, Libya Alkhabar news outlet has reported.

A source close to the family told the news website that the militants detained the Ghawil family and attacked the father and his wife before arresting their three sons.

The source explained that the militants beat one of the sons severely, while the rest were taken to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, gunmen from Dignity Operation in Martuba town, east of Derna, kidnapped Derna local Marwan Bujaziyeh while he was leaving the city to fetch fuel, in addition to another local who was abducted for resisting practices of Dignity Operation forces at the checkpoints.

The Association of Absentees called on the Ministry of Justice of the eastern government to intervene and uncover the fate of the abductees from Derna and to open an investigation on prison violations.

More than fifty citizens from the city of Derna have been abducted by Dignity Operation forces, giving no information to their families on their fate.
