Prime Minister, presidential candidate Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has said the military operation of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous, which defeated ISIS and drove it out of its stronghold in Sirte proved that Libya would never be an incubator for terrorism or terrorists.

In a speech he delivered during a celebration held in Misrata to mark the 5th anniversary of the liberation of Sirte from ISIS, Dbeibah said the heroes of  Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous ended ISIS dreams and will remain a noble act and sacrifice for all humanity, and for Africa and southern Europe in particular.

Meanwhile, the High Council of State (HCS) Head Khaled Al-Mishri who also attended the ceremony reiterated the HCS rejection of militarizing Libya, and for "sewing laws to fit specific people."

Operation Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous was launched on May 5, 2016, to liberate the city of Sirte from ISIS, which seized control of the city in January 2015.
