The Libyan Prime Minister-elect, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, said he "is working on forming a Government of National Unity that speaks of Libyan people and tackles the political division in the country," adding that he had received 3000 CV's, 2300 of which he managed to have a look at.

In a press conference in Tripoli Thursday, Dbeibah said he asked all regions to present qualified candidates for the state sovereign positions, adding his government would prioritize tackling Covid-19, electricity and national reconciliation.

Dbeibah called on media outlets to cooperate with the government, vowing to tackle all the entanglements of the Libyan citizens, and reiterating that he had given the formation of the unity government to the House of Representatives (HoR) Presidency after consultations with the High Council of State, Libyan Political Dialogue Forum as well as the HoR.

Dbeibah said he was certain HoR members would endorse the unity government when they hold the session, adding that it would represent all Libyan parties and components and that it would establish peace and stability for all Libyans without exception.
