The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, has confirmed that the Government of National Unity (GNU) is working to provide a better work environment for workers from the Philippines.

The remarks came in a meeting with the Filipino ambassador to Libya, Elmer Cato, in Tripoli, according to the media office of Prime Minister on Facebook.

Dbeibah also bid farewell to ambassador Cato after two years in office as the Philippines' Libya ambassador and after staying in the country even in the toughest times.

He also reassured Filipinos in Libya that his government would create a better work environment and hailed their role in the health sector and their sacrifices during the Coronavirus pandemic.
