Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah received on Tuesday the Director-General of the Electronic Aviation Authority, Brigadier General Hadi Makhlouf Ibrahim, and his assistant.

The PM media office said the meeting discussed the workflow and preparedness of the apparatus to carry out its tasks.

Dbeibah established the Electronic Aviation Authority late last month to supervise operations carried out through unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

The system manages operations in the defence and security field, besides photography, survey, surveillance, patrols, search and rescue, air propaganda, and others.

Prior to the apparatus' establishment, Dbeibah instructed the Air Force to use drone strikes against any military force that moves without permission in the vicinity of Greater Tripoli.
