The cases brought against the state should be a joint responsibility, says Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, who stressed the need to define the tasks of each authority per a systematic legal and administrative mechanism.

Dbeibah made his comments at a meeting attended by Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, Central Bank of Libya Governor El-Sedek Al-Kabeer, heads of the Audit Bureau, the Administrative Control Authority, and the Libyan Investment Authority, in addition to an array of ministers.

The PM gave his orders to provide full support for the State Cases Department of the Supreme Judicial Council to help it accomplish its tasks.

The meeting was devoted to following up the judgments issued against the Libyan state in several countries, most recently in Belgium and Tunisia, besides other related issues.

In conclusion, the participants agreed to hold periodic meetings to follow up on the outcomes of the relevant committees and the measures that the Office of the Attorney General and the Audit Bureau took in this regard.
